Who We Are
In 1998 The Friends of Town Hall formed with the goal of raising enough money to complete several projects not covered by the C.I.A.P. money recently used to renovate the town hall. Our most recent purchase was a Hallet & Davis upright piano to be used for functions in the town hall auditorium. We are working, with the Millennium Committee, on having display cases made to exhibit many historic items on the first floor of town hall. The Friends of Town Hall assisted the Historic Saugus Mural Committee with the dedication of "The Founding of Saugus Mural" in the Town Hall auditorium on October 12, 2000 and would like to help with the cost of framing the mural.Board of Directors of the Friends of Town Hall are Marilyn Carlson (Chairman), Steve Angelo, Janette Fasano, Susan Dunn, Donna Gould, Ed Carlson, Nelson Chang, Peter Rossetti Jr., Stephen Carlson, Steve Neth, Jim De Paulis, and Linda Wonson. Other members include: Joe Favuzza, Mildred Paltrineri, Frank & Doris Bond, Majorie Spofford, Sis Laskey, Norman Hansen, Paul & Mary Ciccarelli, Len De Rosa, Maurice Cunningham, and Fr. John Malloy.

Current Projects
The Friends of Town Hall have been selling Historic Saugus Throws for a fundraiser. Supplies are limited, so be sure to get yours now.
The Friends are also selling wooden replicas of the Saugus Town Hall. The first two hundred numbered collectibles have sold out so the committee is offering a second edition. The replicas are screen-printed in full color on the front of 3/4 inch wood (7 inches high & 5 inches wide) with a brief description of the historic building on the back. Only one hundred more collectibles have been ordered so first come first served. The cost is $20.00 per collectible (checks are to be made out to The Friends Of Town Hall). The collectibles can be purchased at Eastern Bank (Saugus Center Branch), Saugus Co-operative Bank (Cliftondale Branch) and the Saugus Federal Credit Union. For additional information call Susan at the Town Hall at 781-231-4111. Please note that the first edition of the Saugus Town Hall replica has been sold out and is no longer available.
